Economy

Villagers' main task is to work on your economic fields to gain the basic resources: food, wood, iron, stone and gold. They're trained in a towncenter, which is placed automatically in each village. After their training, you can send them to work on a field (to produce resources), let them study in your university or library, or let them pray in your temple (to gain favor). You can also choose for Peons instead of villagers, these are highly efficient villagers.

On the fields, villagers' productivity depends on the size (level) of the field, it's soil, it's current activity and the number of villagers working on it. When there are to many villagers working on one square, it's efficiency will drop. By praying in a temple, each villager gains 1 favor/hour.

Villagers are also needed to found new villages. Lastly, they're immortal and don't consume any food or gold.
