Missions
From wiki
Missions are tasks or goals that a player can complete. If a player succeeds in completing a mission, he can choose to receive a reward. This reward can either be resources like food, wood, iron, stone or gold, or favor, knowledge, xp. One can even obtain another userlevel by completing certain missions!
There is only one requirement to collect your reward for a mission. You need to have an Embassy. Building an Embassy doesn't require any technologies.
The Embassy level determines the number of missions you can complete. Each Embassy level unlocks new missions. It's not obligatory to complete lower level missions first in order to complete higher level missions. If an early mission is too hard, you can simply go on with later missions.
A player can decide when he wants to collect his reward. The game engine will check whether you've succeeded to attain the targets successfully by crunching data off the active village. Every mission can be completed only once. Note that a few missions (like having researched a certain technology) can be collected in any of your cities with the appropriate level of Embassy.
