From wiki
Just like in the real world, the economy in Mytholia is really important. The economy produces the resources needed to build up your villages and train your units.

Resources
There are five resource types: Food, Lumber, Iron, Stone and Gold.
Ecofield Types
There are six different ecofield types: Grass, Forest, Rock, Iron Mine, Gold Mine and Lake.
Every ecofield has a level that determines its size. Upgrading an ecofield increases its level, and therefore, its size. The larger an ecofield's size, the more villagers can efficiently work on it. Assigning too many villagers to a field will make them run in each other's way and the efficiency of additional villagers will drop.
Lower levels make the field size increase only a little, but these levels are cheap and fast to upgrade. Higher levels are more expensive and take more time, but they yield a better profit. It is possible to upgrade all eight ecofields at the same time. All you need is enough resources.
Also there are deserts and seas on the map, deserts will increase the production of mines by 25% but it will decrease the production of food and wood.
As previously said, the size of an ecofield will determine the ideal number of villagers that can work on it. As a guideline, we suggest one villager for every 10 are (100m²). E.g.: If a field has a size of 30 are, 3 or maybe 4 villagers should be enough. If a field is 405 are then 40 up to 45 villagers would be advised. Note that this simple formula is only a guideline to approach the ideal resource output on ecofields. Each additional villager will increase the total production nonetheless.
Activities
Villagers on an ecofield can be ordered to perform one of 9 different activities:
Hunting,
Husbandry,
Farming,
Viniculture,
Fishing,
Lumberjack,
Iron Mining,
Stone Quarry,
Gold Mining
Depending on the type of field, the activities will produce more or less resources. E.g.: Farming will evidently produce more food on a grassfield than on a rockfield, etc.
Secondary Economy
In addition to your normal economy, you can also create a Secondary Economy. This economy consists of your economic buildings. They will provide you with a steady gold income. The secondary economic buildings are:
- Alchemist
- Bakery
- Blacksmith
- Butchery
- Carpentry
- Foundry
- Goldsmith
- Inn
- Sawmill
- Sculptor
- Stonemasonry
- Spinnery
- Tannery
- Winemaker
- Windmill
In each village you can build up to these buildings, there is no maximum. NOT YET IMPLEMENTED; One of these can be upgraded to a larger size. The big building has a threefold capacity of a normal building, which triples the amount of gold produced.
Other things
Below here are some other things you may need to know about the economy of Mytholia.
Tradecenter
After you have researched the technology barter you can build a tradecenter. In the tradecenter you can exchange resources. For this you need to pay a little tax. The higher the level of your tradecenter, the less tax you have to pay. The system is similar to the real world market, as an example; when a lot of wood is sold, the price of wood will drop. Also when a lot of wood is bought, the price of wood will go up again.
King
In case you have a King, your production will increase in the village where the king resides. A King can move to every village with a Palace or Castle.
A King placed in a Palace will give the following bonuses:
- All economic activies: +5% more production
- Favor: +10% production
A King placed in a Castle will give the following bonuses:
- Favor: +10% production
- Units train +10% faster
- All building and ecofield upgrades: +10% faster
- All army: +10% damage & +10% HP
- Wall: +10% more effect
Queen
In case you have a Queen, your production will increase in the village where the king resides. A King can move to every village with a Palace or Castle.
A Queen placed in a Palace will give the following bonuses:
- All economic activies: +15% more production
A Queen placed in a Castle will give the following bonuses:
- +5% favor production
- +5% faster upgrades of buildings and fields
- -5% Food and Gold usage
- +5% wall bonus
Technologies
Some activities (Husbandry, Farming, Vineyard, Fishing) require the research of one or more technologies. Certain technologies will also boost your economy. Therefore, it's worth taking a look at the technology tree.
Godpowers & Relics
Besides technologies and upgrades, relics and godpowers can also raise your production. The godpowers Rain, Black Forest, Iron Age, Circle of Stonehenge and Gold Rush are the most important ones.
